Today, we are entering the middle of the year in running the national program; Visit Indonesia year 2008 in which the main goal is to stimulate tourists visiting to Indonesia. The last situation which is not conducive in our country should be understood well by creating and showing an image that the Nusantara (Indonesian Archipelago) is the safe remarkable place to be visited by all people.

As a matter of fact, besides the government recover and increase domestic investment atmosphere in tourism, we also should stimulate any industries that support the tourism sectors such as, hotel business, home industries, taking care of tour objects, and so forth. One of the strategies considered effectively and efficiently empowering and enhancing the quality of facilities that are supporting to the tourism is having through many competition or contest events.

From this point of view, The Excellent Hotel Competition 2008 cooperatively presented among Explore-Indonesia, Department of Culture and Tourism, Indonesia Hotel and Restaurant Association, and any others companions is proposed.
